Children’s Home

The Dohnavur Fellowship  has been a beacon of refuge for ‘at risk’ children since the time of Amma.

Although changing regulations have had an effect on the number of children at the home, the fellowship continues to carry the baton forward by working with the government to touch the lives of as many children as possible.

Children are rescued from difficult situations and referred by government agencies to be admitted into the home.

The Role of the Children’s Home

Once admitted, the child’s, food, shelter, clothing, healthcare & education are taken care of by the fellowship, allowing the child to grow and blossom in a loving and safe environment.

Individual Attention

Professional Counselors work with the children periodically and develop an individual child care plan, which acts as a guide to track the growth of each child.

Leaving for School

The Children of the school are seen here leaving to school.

House Mothers

Each child is assigned to a house mother who takes care of the over all development of the child.
